English 3/4-Period 6

Course Overview: Students study poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and Shakespearean drama to enrich their literary experience and to provide a basis for advanced literary analysis. The primary focus is on the literature of world cultures. Students write responses to literature, narrative, persuasive essays, and research reports. Students will deliver oral presentations that convey clear viewpoints. In addition, students will learn how to use guided meditation techniques to reduce stress, improve focus and create the right conditions that will help students also respond to literature.
