Please thoroughly complete your TWIST sheet, typed or in dark ink, and submit it along with questions on page 639. Please do #2, and choose two others from questions 3, 4, or 6. Do not do questions 1 or 5.

Please submit your Oedipus outline if you haven't already done so. In the future, submit all outlines and paper drafts with the final version. You get credit for each revision for a total of 200 points. Sorry I wasn't clear about this.

In a 3+:3+ paragraph, explain why Antigone is defying Creon's order to bury Polynices. Be sure to cite exact lines from the play (no paraphrasing this time). Please use correct MLA line citation format.

Answer any 3 of the 6 questions by writing a short (4-7 sentences) paragraph for each question after the poem on page 574. Submit the three paragraphs along with a picture of your TWIST sheet for the poem.

Please write an extended paragraph on the introductory scenes of Oedipus Rex: Cite 5 lines (CDs) that show Oedipus's excessive pride (hubris). Then, cite lines (give CDs) from the play that explain HOW and WHY Thebes is suffering such a terrible plague.

Purpose of the homework: so I can see that you understand what is happening in the introductory scene.

Choose a work: book, poem, movie, musical, or painting that you know well. What is one MAJOR theme of the work? What is the motif that runs throughout the work that indicates the theme? Give 3 examples of the motif in the work. 5-7 sentences, please.
