Principles of Engineering Design is a year long course. This class provides students the basic foundational skills needed to be successful in the Architectural/Engineering Design Pathway. Students will learn how to use and care for tools, drafting instruments, hand and CAD drawings, techniques and conventional representations, geometric constructions, career readiness and awareness. Students will study the history of design and drafting and develop skills in sketching, shading and line technique using both free-hand and with drafting instruments. Students will develop their drawing and design skills completing perspectives, orthographic (multi-views), sectionals, auxiliary and other drawings related to the Engineering and Design Industry
