Period 5 - World History '20-21 Assignments

Directions: 
1. Create a slide to add to the presentation.  
2. Add a picture of yourself, a fun fact about yourself, 
3. Write a short message to me or the class

Answer the questions using at least 2-3 complete sentences EACH. 

Use your notes and and Animal Farm worksheet to help you fill in the correct responses. 

As we watch the film, answer the questions on the worksheet using complete sentences and YOUR OWN words and opinions.

Create a resume that tells the life story of a great woman in history. You may use the resume template provided, or you can create your own. 


Must contain the following:


1. Objective - What goal or goals did your subject strive to achieve?


2. Work experience - What kind of work did your subject do during her lifetime (remember most recent jobs first), include descriptions of her work. 


3. Education - Where did your subject receive their education, what was life like during these years?


4. Accomplishments/Awards - was your subject ever recognized for her achievements? If so when, how, by whom, etc.?


5. References - Who were some influential people in your subject's life (mentors, idols, rivals, etc.) - describe their relationship to your subject.

Create a resume using google docs, or any type of writing software. Check out the videos below for help with creating the perfect resume!

Personal Year Timeline

You will create your own personal timeline covering five life events from the past year. Each event should be specific to you! Make sure to title the name of the event, month and year it occurred, day (if you remembered it) followed by an image (can be acquired on the internet or your own). For each event, write a 3-5 sentence description of it. Describe the event, what’s the story behind it? Why is this event important in your life? Because of our Corona/quarantine, some of us have not had anything going on since March, your timeline can cover any significant event from January 2019 - Now.

Personal Milestone Timeline

After writing about ourselves in the past year, we will create a broader timeline focusing on five of our milestones. Each milestone should be specific to you! Make sure to title the name of the event, month and year it occurred (if you remember), day (if you remembered it) followed by an image (can be acquired on the internet or your own). Directions: You will do a rough draft of your personal timeline and personal milestones on this handout. Brainstorm some ideas of what potential events you might want to talk about and provide a sample of the description you plan to put in it.
