Course Description

The goal of this class is to establish a solid foundation of the Spanish language and structuring it from prior knowledge of the language.  In order for students to be in this course, they must have passed with a recommended grade C or above in Spanish 1/2 as this course will build upon the previous year and build with new skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.  COMMUNICATION in Spanish is a key component of this course.  The major part of instruction will be done in Spanish as building verbal comprehension will aid in a better understanding of the Spanish language as well as developing confidence in order to communicate in Spanish. Students will also focus on the five goals explained in the National Foreign Language Standards: Communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, and communities.
