Students: University of Pennsylvania will be in the Career Center on September 29, 2009 during period 5. Hurry in to the Career Center to sign up a pick up a period 5 permission slip. ~~Ms. Topete

PTSA presents SAT and ACT Subject Strategy Session on Wednesday, September 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in the cafeteria. Scores are available for pick-up if you took the practice exams on 9/12. Learn some test-taking strategies, find out how to raise your score, and gain some general college planning information. All are invited to attend. Bring your parents. --Mrs. Sanchez

CELDT Testing begins on Monday, September 21-October 2. Students will be released from their period 2 classes to either the Cafeteria, Aztec Conference Room, or room TB-5, your teachers have received student lists and locations for testing. Some students may also miss periods 3 and 4 throughout the 10 days of testing. This is a State Mandated Test, please do your best and get a good nights rest the evening before each test.

If you participated in the SAT/ACT/Subject test event sponsored by the PTSA, you should attend the scoreback session to be held in the cafeteria on September 23, at 6:30 pm, in the cafeteria. You will be given your scored test and an analysis of the results. Please plan to attend. --Mrs. Sanchez

Friday Night Live will have it's first general meeting this Friday, September 25th, during lunch in room 138. Club applications will be turned in at that time. See you there! --Mr. inthisane

Students, in order to help alleviate traffic and congestion in the main hall, we are asking that you do not use your locker during lunchtime. Please use your locker during the other corresponding passing periods only. --Student Services

The PSAT Test at MKHS will be held on Saturday, October 17. The PSAT is the screening test for high school students who wish to participate in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Sign-up in the Student Bank before school, during lunch, or after school. The fee is $20, there are some fee waivers available. Don't miss out! For students that have already registered for the PSAT, please stop by the Student Bank for a copy of the Official Student Guide to the PSAT. It offers test-taking help and a practice test, with answer key.
