Mission & Vision
Mark Keppel High School will provide the community with a student centered institution of learning which is clean, safe, and orderly; and where respect and safety are valued and demonstrated.

Mark Keppel High School will be committed to developing self-confident, ethical, resourceful individuals who will attain their potential through a shared commitment to community.

Mark Keppel High School graduates will be expected to be life-long learners who communicate effectively; think critically and solve problems; to be socially responsible; make healthy life choices; work well alone or with others; set, achieve, and evaluate career education, post-secondary, and life, goals; and use technology.

The principal will serve as both a leader and facilitator who promotes the culture and vision of the school, empowers the staff, insures community and staff involvement, and encourages continuing assessment and improvement.

The school community will be actively involved in all major decisions and actions related to common goals.

The school’s professional development plan links resources to schoolwide improvement and to student results.

The staff will be knowledgeable about effective instructional practices and how to adapt them to meet the needs of all students.

The organizational norms of improvement, growth, learning, experimentation, research, and risk-taking will be promoted across all disciplines.

Students will be encouraged to seek out and find the help they need, with no stigma attached to asking for special help.
