- Scholarships
· Career Fairs and Speakers
During the year the Career Center puts on a series of speakers and fairs on careers and professions in an informational setting. Students have the opportunity to speak with people in a variety of occupations and professions.
· Career Guidance Information
The Career Center has a complete career library with written information, videotapes, and computer software programs to help students answer career/college questions. This available resource can help our students explore their future and potential.
· College Catalogs
The Career Center has a library of college and university catalogues from California and the rest of the United States. They are available for students to use in their college search process.
· Part-Time Jobs
The Career Center maintains a list of job offerings in the community and provides a referral service.
· Regional Occupational Program (ROP)
ROP classes are offered during the regular class day, after school, and in the evening. The students learn job specific skills and can receive a certificate of completion and graduation credits. Students need to be in grades 10,11, or 12 to attend these classes.
· Workforce Investment Act
The Career Center runs this program for low-income students. Students are enrolled in classes during the summer and placed in jobs within the community.
· Work Permits
All students who are under the age of 18 and are employed must have a work permit.
